... I fell in love with a perfectly imperfect human being.![]() I am next to The Caribbean Sea at Maya Tulum Resort in Tulum, Mexico. I not only create and facilitate retreats, I go on-retreat regularly... Leaving in the very early morning for a week long retreat in the warm embrace of the Caribbean Sea off Tulu’um, Mexico. I will be joining Beloved friends for sunrise meditation on the beach, yoga and everything a retreat offers. My sweet salty friend davidji, who is facilitating the retreat, took this photo below, from there this morning. Yes! I will be sleeping in a thatch covered cabana right on the beach. Ahhhhhh…
The rhythm of my day has become so comfortable here. So familiar. I feel very at home in Nepal...
(Update after the earthquake, this lovely place The Ambassador Garden Home Hotel is still in operation. Located in the heart of Thamel, I highly recommend it!) ![]() I am currently in India working with PINCC (Prevention International, no cervical cancer). We provide clinics to train local practitioners with the intent to sustain cervical cancer screening and treatment. Our PINCC team of 6 is offering a cervical cancer screening clinic this week at the Dagapur Tea Plantation. It is located in the city of Siliguri, West Bengal, India. People live and work on the plantation, often for generations. Their work consists of tending, harvesting and processing Darjeeling Tea which is sold around the planet. We are told they make approximately $1.50 per day. The plants are over 85 years old. To sustain the health and productivity of the tea bushes, the workers pick only ‘two leaves and a bud’. |
